Class 2017-18 (Class VIII)

PROGRAM OUTLINE

1. Induction and Orientation

The 2017-18 Class participated in the Induction and Orientation session on March 2nd & 4th, 2017, at the 32nd APAO Congress in Singapore. The 1-day session included an Insights Colors program, facilitated by Mr Simon Abbott and sponsored by Allergan.

2. Master Class

The Leadership Masterclass (previously called Mid-term Forum) will hosted by the College of Ophthalmologists of Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka from September 29 to October 1, 2017. Ms Marsheila DeVan ran an interactive workshop on presentation and communication skills in the session. 13 LDP participants and 6 local Sri Lankan participants joined the Program.

3. Self-initiated Project

Each participant was required to plan and execute a self-initiated project. They are to send their project title and propose a mentor to the Central Secretariat by December 15, 2017.

4. Graduation

Each participant was required to plan and execute a self-initiated project to be presented at the 33rd APAO Congress in Hong Kong, China to graduate from the Program, and the Graduation Ceremony was held on March 3, 2018 during the APAO LDP Alumni Reception.

We are happy to announce the below 13 participants have now completed the Leadership Development Program and have successfully graduated.
