Ophthalmological Society of PakistanOphthalmological Society of Pakistan (OSP) came into being on 19th December 1957 in Lahore. The main aim of the society was to develop the science and art of ophthalmology all over the country. Ever since its inception the leaders of the society have endeavored to run programs which would improve the knowledge and skills of the ophthalmologists for better patient care and management. The OSP has grown from the hand full of founding members to 2000 qualified ophthalmologists. It has 13 branches covering all regions of the country and six subspecialty associations, i.e, Vitreo Retina, Oculoplasty, Glaucoma, Paediatric Ophthalmology, Cataract and Refractive Surgery and Community Ophthalmology Associations. The Society runs regular clinical meetings, workshops, congresses, hands on wetlabs, skills labs, and the like in all parts of the country. |
