(APAO) Travel Grant
The Hong Kong Vision Foundation (HKVF) and
Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO)
Travel Grant provides partial travel support to
up and coming young ophthalmologists in Hong
Kong to attend the APAO-AAO Joint Meeting, Bali
2009.
Introduction
The aim of the HKVF-APAO Travel Grant is to
partially cover the travelling expenses for
participation in the Joint Meeting. This is an
integral part of our effort to further the
training and education of young eye doctors and
to raise the standard of eye care in Hong Kong.
Details of the HKVF Travel Grant
- Up to 15 HKVF-APAO Travel Grants will be
offered to ophthalmologists from Hong Kong.
- Amount of sponsorship: US$500 per eye doctor
- Only eye doctors of age 40 or below with
presentations (oral, poster, or video) in the
scientific program of the APAO-AAO Joint
Congress,
Bali 2009, are eligible.
- Priority will be given to those applicants
who:
• Have not previously received financial support
for conference attendance from the HKVF;
• Have no previous participation in overseas
regional or international ophthalmological
conferences;
- Please email the application form to

(852) 2715 9490 (Attn: APAO Secretariat) on or
before February 10, 2009 (Tuesday).
